The campers stayed at the Scott City Park, about 5 blocks from the high school. It was a beautiful place with only one slight drawback. 1 bathroom area for that many campers wasn't the best. Most of us just got on our bikes and rode back up to the high school for showers, etc. But it WAS right across the street from the Dairy Queen and that seemed to make it "ok" by all of us.
"What a gift we have in time. Gives us children, makes us wine. Tells us what to take or leave behind. And the gifts of growing old are the stories to be told of the feelings more precious than gold. Friends I will remember you, think of you and pray for you. And when another day is through, I'll still be friends with you." The words of the late John Denver
